Michelle Bishop

Head Coach + Co-Founder

Michelle Bishop is a wife, mom of two, and a servant at heart — but above all, she is a woman deeply led by her faith in Jesus Christ. Based in Columbus, Ohio, Michelle is a world-class ISSA Certified Elite Trainer, Certified Personal Trainer, ISSA Nutritionist (CNC), Glutes Training Specialist, Strength & Conditioning Coach, and an AFPA Certified Prenatal & Postpartum Specialist. With nearly a decade of experience in nutrition, supplementation, and the science of the human body, she has committed her life to helping women steward their bodies well — without shame, restriction, or pressure.

Michelle’s journey wasn’t always grounded in freedom. Before founding her transformational women’s fitness program, The Ladies Edge, she spent four years in the bodybuilding world while battling Nighttime Eating Syndrome (NES). Though she found success as a national-level NPC Women’s Physique competitor, she realized that living chained to rigid training routines and obsessive eating habits was never God’s best for her life.

After walking through her own healing journey — one marked by grace, truth, and a lot of prayer — Michelle traded in diet culture for true freedom. Since launching The Ladies Edge in December 2017, she has coached and mentored over tens of thousands of women toward food freedom and sustainable strength — not just physically, but mentally and spiritually.

At the core of Michelle’s mission is a deep desire to help women break free from the lies the world has spoken over their minds and bodies. Her 23-minute workouts are just the start. With an unshakable belief that health and fitness should fit around your life, not the other way around, Michelle helps busy women reclaim their time, their confidence, and their identity in Christ.

What sets Michelle apart is her raw authenticity in a filtered world. Whether she’s leading a live workout, encouraging her community, or simply sharing her personal struggles, she shows up with bold faith and a humble heart. Her leadership echoes the heartbeat of The Ladies Edge manifesto:

“We got rid of the pressure of having it all together. We get overwhelmed but don’t quit. We get exhausted but don’t stop. We fight back when times get tough – We show up.”

Above all, Michelle is on a mission to remind women that their worth isn’t found in a mirror, a number, or anyone else’s opinion — it’s rooted in who the Lord says they are. Through her story, Michelle continues to help women become the strongest, most confident versions of themselves — inside and out.
