KATIE ACKERMAN

TLE Coach

Katie Ackerman resides in Ohio with her dog, Ginny Mae. She completed her undergraduate studies in Health Sciences at DePaul University and her Master of Physician Assistant Practice at Ohio University. She is an OB/GYN PA by day and enjoys assisting in surgery as well as seeing patients to discuss their concerns and counsel them on overall health and wellness. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors and with her family.

Prior to TLE, Katie was always passionate about athletics and fitness. She grew up dancing and playing softball. In college, she instructed group fitness classes and enjoyed the active lifestyle and unique fitness classes that living in Chicago had to offer.

Katie had followed Michelle on Instagram for several years before seeing an announcement for the Bish Bodies 4 program in November 2017. At that time, Katie was seeking an opportunity for consistency and getting back to fitness after experiencing loss. She was drawn in by the idea of a 23-minute at-home workout with a resistance band in an effort to feel healthier when Christmas rolled around. What she didn’t know was that there wouldn’t be another day that went by that she wasn’t pressing play on her 23 minutes. When The Ladies Edge was born and the opportunity to become a lifer presented itself in December 2018, she did not hesitate to say yes.

“Dial in, girl! Consitency is where the magic happens!”

- TLE COACH: Katie Ackerman

What Katie loves most about TLE is that it has always been there for her. She loved that she was able to workout consistently through PA school especially, and looks forward to continuing this consistency through all seasons of life. She also loves that she has been table to share her love for TLE with her mom and workout alongside her. She notes that she loves the physical benefits of exercise, but the mental health component and generational impact are also so important to her.

As a coach, Katie loves to share the message that women are powerful and capable. She encourages the community to speak life over themselves and to always seek the positive perspective.
